What to do with the Rings
Where to get the Rings
The Silent Hill 2 Remake Copper and Lead rings in the Hospital aren’t too difficult to find, but working out where to use them is harder, as James’ claim that he knows exactly where they go is a tricky thing to swallow considering the dream-like, quasi-symbolic logic that so many of the Silent Hill 2 Remake puzzles operate under. In fact, you need to bring them back up to the second floor of the hospital to proceed, unlocking the Lady of the Door with them. If you want a primer on the exact process, and where to find the Copper Ring and Lead Ring in Silent Hill 2, we’ll explain below. What to do with the Rings in the Silent Hill 2 Remake Hospital More Silent Hill 2 guidesSilent Hill 2 Remake Director’s Office hand

Tekken 8 has been facing ever-increasing criticism from fighting game fans upset about the title’s approach to monetization, and news that the new stage accompanying the revived Heihachi Mishima is a separate, $5 purchase appears to have been the breaking point. One member of the game industry has taken it upon himself to explain why the costs associated with game development in 2024 might be pushing the devs toward more aggressive monetization.A few weeks after Tekken 8’s launch, it got a microtransaction-filled cash shop for cosmetic items. Cynically-minded players were quick to note that this happened after the game’s glowing critical and user reviews had poured in, and this all set a particularly negative tone around the game’s monetization. Tekken 8 already launched with a $100 Deluxe Edition and $110 Ultimate Edition, promising access to additional costumes and the first year’s worth of added characters, so the cash shop seemed particularly egregious. As characters began to launch…
Metaphor: ReFantazio launches this week, with an abundance of high review scores, and a serious shot at game of the year. The RPG from revered publisher Atlus is an enthralling adventure set in a picturesque, fantasy land, but fans of the studio may see this new title as a Persona-like first and foremost. With its anime aesthetic, turn-based combat and life sim elements, it’s hard not to compare it to the likes of Persona 3 Reload, but comparison is so often the thief of joy, and I’m begging you not to go into Metaphor: ReFantazio expecting another round of what we’ve come to expect from the high school drama series. Especially when you consider it’s also being compared to later Fire Emblem titles. Similar but different To begin with, you play as a mercenary, not a school student moonlighting as a hero. While our protagonist in Metaphor faces persecution not entirely dissimilar to Joker from Persona 5 – treated as a social outcast despite no fault of their own – the no…
There is probably only one hypothetical game that could get me to play anything that isn’t horror or horror adjacent in the month of October, and that is a Yakuza fishing game. And as it turns out, Ryu Ga Gotoku studio head Masayoshi Yokoyama actually wanted to make one for a long time, but ultimately canned it in favor of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which admittedly also sounds absolutely amazing. In a new PlayStation Blog interview, Yokoyama said he wanted to make a game called Like a Dragon: Tuna (read that again) for “quite some time”. That game would’ve starred longtime Yakuza protagonist Kazuma Kiryu “as a tuna fisherman” who “sets off to sea to fight against fishing boats.”Why would a fisherman go to sea specifically to fight other fishermen? Because Yakuza. However, unfortunately Yokoyama said the project “never came to fruition,” and ultimately “keywords like ‘ship,’ ‘sea,’ and ‘fighting,’ which had since then been engraved in my head, evolved into the concept of pi…

The reveal of Ghost of Yotei, the de facto Ghost of Tsushima sequel and the latest open-world adventure from Sucker Punch, drew a lot of comparisons to Assassin’s Creed Shadows at this week’s PlayStation State of Play. With Ubisoft’s own open-world samurai epic now delayed to 2025, the same year Ghost of Yotei is targeting for launch, those comparisons intensified and ultimately reached the publisher’s executives, with CFO Frederick Duguet fielding a question about Ghost of Yotei in a conference call earlier today, September 25. “Ghost of Yotei, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, looks to me – perhaps I’m not into it deeply enough – but it looks an awful lot to me like Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” one investor said during the call’s Q&A portion. “We’re talking about that game, Ghost of Yotei, coming out in 2025. Is there a risk that you start bumping into that one, that people will not buy Shadows because they’re waiting for Ghost of Yotei in a few months’ time to get …
Sequels sometimes have a tough time attracting new players who don’t want to catch up on a dozen games beforehand, but the next Yakuza is bypassing that problem by simply knocking its protagonist on the head really, really hard. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii was announced as the hilariously-named spin-off starring none other than Goro Majima who’s taking the lead role for the first time ever. Set around six months after Infinite Wealth, Majima washes up on a Hawaiian beach alone and with no memory of who he is or where he’s come from – only that he can still fight like someone who’s been throwing it down since the PS2.”Majima fills in the holes in his memory little by little as he goes about doing various things,” series executive producer Masayoshi Yokoyama explains in an interview with Famitsu, translated by Automaton. But Majima’s shaky grasp of his entire history also means that Pirate Yakuza is “the game least shackled to past events in the Like a Dragon series,” and …
Star Wars Outlaws timeline places it very definitively within the films, narrowing down a universe that spans thousands of years at this point, with different eras, factions, powers, and levels of technology. So exactly when in the canon timeline Star Wars Outlaws is set makes a significant difference to Kay Vess’ story: after all is the Old Republic, the Empire or the First Order currently in control? Are the Jedi still a dominant force? Is the galaxy going through one of its increasingly rare moments of peace? Helldivers 2 studio Arrowhead says it hears players “loud and clear” about the controversial Flamethrower changes rolled out in last month’s big Escalation of Freedom update, so tweaks are being made to make cooking Chargers as fun as it once was.As hinted in the blog post shared last week, which gave some insight into the devs’ progress through their 60-day action plan, Flamethrower damage and mechanics are being reworked (or re-reworked?) in the next Helldivers 2 update launching on September 17. “We’ve heard you loud and clear and Flamethrower damage is increased by 33%,” Arrowhead writes on Twitter. We’ve heard you loud and clear and Flamethrower damage is increased by 33%🔥Flamer mechanics will be reverted to the state before the Escalation of Freedom update and flamebased weapons can now damage heavier enemies like Chargers, Bile Titans, Impalers and Hulks. #BuffDivers pic.twitter.com/O9oipGJsfdSeptember 10, 2024″Flamer mechanics will be reverted to the state before the Esc…
Earlier this year, Ubisoft shut down the servers for The Crew, leaving the always-online racing game completely unplayable even to those who’d already bought it. The backlash to this decision has spawned a massive consumer rights campaign that’s now seeking 1 million signatures in the EU, and in the wake of that response, the devs are adding offline modes to newer The Crew games – but not the now-dead original.”We heard your concerns about access to The Crew games,” Ubisoft says in a message on social media. “Today, we want to express our commitment to the future of The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest. We can confirm an offline mode to ensure long term access to both titles, stay tuned for more news in the next months.”This all comes in the wake of the Stop Killing Games initiative, a consumer rights campaign that’s been reaching out to global lawmakers in hopes of prohibiting publishers from completely revoking access to games players have already purchased. The campaign’s latest effort…
